The great thing about these creatures is that they have adapted to the harshest of environments from the desert and the tropics to the Arctic areas where they can live underwater. In terms of gender relationships, male spiders are famous for being killed right after intercourse, or at least this is the general myth people know. The Harmless Domestic Spider The hobo spider, also known as the funnel web spider, the hobo spider is a harmless species that lives both in Europe and on the North American continent. The specificity of the hobo spider is related to the way it weaves its web: the funnel-shaped nest is the perfect structure to wait for prey in. Aloe vera, ice chips and antibiotics applied on the bite are thought to reduce the discomfort and speed up healing; yet, none of them is considered a 100% reliable remedy for hobo spider bites. The consequences of the exposure to the venom of hobo spiders are less serious than the bites of the brown recluse spider for instance. Wolf Spider A very common species, the wolf spider is the shy inhabitant of corners, basements and garages around our houses. Unlike most of its brothers, the wolf spider prefers to remain on the ground where it hunts at night; there is no web and no sign that would let you know where you'll find a specimen since the wolf spider desperately tries to stay out of the humans' way. This unjust pattern is not justified since even the most poisonous spiders will not attack a human unless they felt threatened. All spiders need to inject venom in order to survive, it is in the nature of their species and one of the life mechanisms they have been endowed with; what really differs from one species to another and gives rise to the classification into poisonous and non-poisonous is the amount of venom and its toxicity.
