I Bought a Pet Oreo Spider (yes, really)

Nevertheless, it is a good idea to stay calm since anxiety adds up to the severity of the symptoms and that is surely the last thing you'd like to do. One further mention here is that many of the dangers related to hobo spiders are in fact rumors and anecdotes found on the Internet. Hobo spiders definitely do not deserve the label of aggressiveness, and presently, there are trends of opinion among scientists related to the real danger of this species for humans: there are some who actually claim that hobo spiders are no threat to humans. The harm the spider venom can inflict depends on the fierceness with which the spider will defend itself. Furthermore, poisonous spiders are part of balanced ecosystems where they insure a living equilibrium among other species of insects. Without certain poisonous spiders, some insects would breed uncontrollably and would require permanent human intervention to reduce their numbers. The most common way to perform the identification at a very amateurish level is to actually compare a specimen with a picture or a drawing and see whether there is a match. The important thing about spider identification is to actually be able to tell the poisonous spiders from the non-poisonous ones. The huntsman spider is also identified by its colors ranging from brown to gray; depending on the globe area where it is encountered, the species may present other specificities as well, such as hairy legs, as it is the case with the Badge Huntsman variety. Despite its diversity, all the huntsman spider specimens have eight eyes disposed on various parts of the body, and a good vision for the close and distant potential pray. Certain eyes are even more specialized than the others, not to mention the fact that there are also blind eye pairs that are located in various places on the articulate bodies of these creatures. Webs are the distinct mark of spiders but even these have a particular imprint of their own: thus, some create sheet webs, others spiral webs, not to mention the true mazes that some dangerous species design as deadly traps for their prey. They are found almost everywhere on the North American continent except the area at the west of the Rocky Mountains; what seems even more interesting is the fact that a variety of brown recluse spiders is also found in Hawaii. In its natural habitat the species prefers rotten tree bark as the favorite place to make the nest, but it is also found in alls sorts of house corners.
